Intrepid CPR was the brain child of a group of medical providers including flight paramedics, firefighters, physicians, and nurses who saw a community need to provide professional CPR and first aid classes to as many people as possible. It is our goal to provide not only training, but a true learning experience that will provide the knowledge needed to help in medical emergencies. We strive to provide the very best CPR and first aid training to as many people as possible. 

We offer the latest American Heart Association training in adult, child, and infant CPR & first aid education to laymen, work groups in need of an OSHA-compliant training, and professional medical providers seeking certification or recertification. By giving you the option to complete a class completely in person at a location of your choosing, or doing class work online in your own home and learning skills in person later with one of our professional instructors, we have the perfect class for you.

James LaPierre is the owner and founder of Intrepid CPR. For nearly a decade James taught skiing and snowboarding on Big Mountain in the winter, guided river trips during the warmer months, and taught students at high schools as a substitute teacher during the shoulder seasons. James took an EMT class specifically to be prepared for outdoor emergencies, but ended up finding his calling in emergency medicine and education. He helped run the FVCC paramedic program for 4 years before starting Intrepid CPR. 

Still working as a firefighter and flight paramedic with A.L.E.R.T., you may see him flying over you in the infamous red helicopter or see him on a fire engine on his way to a call. James is known for his use of humor as a memory aid and is often praised for the quality of his lesson delivery.
